WALK THE DUNSTABLE DOWNS - see pictures

SATURDAY 14TH APRIL

The walk for LRNSC members is a 16 km round trip of the Dunstable Downs.  There will be an opportunity to shorten it to about 11km for those who wish to leave earlier.  We meet at the Chilterns Gateway Centre, a National Trust building with commanding view of the countryside surrounding the Downs.  The Gateway Centre car park is free to National Trust members.  There are other parking facilities past the Gateway Centre if you come from the South.

The Gateway Centre is between Whipsnade and Dunstable, just off the B4541.  The walk will start at 10.30 am from the Centre and return there.  The café has the usual National Trust refreshments and splendid views.  There are two pubs en route but it would be advisable to bring a packed lunch as we may not be in sight of the pubs at the right time.

It would be helpful to know in advance who is coming on the walk so please let the organiser know by filling in this form.   If you're not an LRNSC or other SSE club member and would like to come on this walk, please join London Region Nordic Ski Club first.
