This year the club's rollerski trip abroad will be based around Dieppe. L'Avenue Verte is an old railway line which has been converted to a motor free cycle way it is part of the London to Paris cycle route.

Here are the details for London Race Series 2008.

The races coincide with the popular one-day coaching courses (apart from race No 3) and course participants are encouraged to race as well.
The series features a variety of formats, techniques and distances to provide a challenge for skiers of every level.
For new recruits to rollerskiing there is a short distance option.
There is a cumulative points system, with an overall series winner in each category.

Rules
Unless stated otherwise, all FIS conforming roller skis are accepted, ie fast skis may be used
Helmets and eye protection (e.g. sun glasses) must be worn.

The Club's annual 7.5 mile mince pie & mulled wine roller ski tour of Richmond Park. Wear head torch/cycle lights &/or reflective/light clothing. The first of the Club's ski trips, we will go to the snow-sure resort of Livigno, Italy where there is the opportunity to participate in the La Sgambeda ski marathon, a free technique race over 42 and 21km at the end of the week.

Club trip to Sapporo International Ski Marathon and Miyasama Ski Marathon on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido.

Club touring holiday in Norway organised through XCuk.

Based in Akaslompolo in Finnish Lapland, this recreational trip is suitable for skiers of all levels of ability. There are over 330 km of beautiful trails that wind through quiet forests and across frozen lakes in this skiers' paradise.
Participants book their holiday package via Inghams or Crystal and meet up with other Club skiers for daily ski tours.

There will be an informal meet for those wanting to train for the one hour race. This will be at the Hayes cycle circuit from 3pm onwards.

The annual 4 hour event where club members try to ski as many laps as they can. This is not a race and you can ski for the whole 4 hours or just do a single lap. All members of all abilities are encouraged to participate and each year we try to beat our cumulative total. So even if you only do one lap it counts towards the total. After the event there is food and prize giving. Everybody receives a prize, drawn by lottery. This is as much fun as the event!!
