NEW Children's roller skiing - learn to roller ski

Designed for children aged 7-12 these sessions aim to develop skiing skills through play and fun. The focus will be on movement that develops coordination, technique and speed, both individually and as part of the group.
Children will be encouraged to progress through games and mini challenges so they enjoy the sessions, develop their physical skills and learn the fundamentals of Nordic skiing. In the autumn the aim of the course will be to achieve Snowsport England Level 1 Proficiency Award.

Cost: £20.00 for the course of 4 sessions or £5.00 per single session [includes hire of roller skis, boots and poles, and protective pads]

The sessions will provide a basis for further skills development with the Club on roller skis and/or on snow both for recreation and competition.  Our Snowsport England instructors have undergone DBS checks and safeguarding training to enable them to work with young people.

Club membership is not obligatory for these sessions but if you would like your child or yourself to join and enjoy the full benefits - find out more about LRNSC membership.

Equipment and clothing

If your child has a cycle helmet please bring it [the Club can provide if not].  Gloves are essential - please bring your child's own.

No need to buy special clothing, leisure/sportswear is good and layers are best so they can be adjusted if your child gets too warm or too cold.

All our courses take place at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit in west London which provides an ideal mix of flat, gentle and steeper hills, all with smooth tarmac surfaces.

It has a club house with facilities to make tea and coffee, and where you can change/leave clothes during sessions.
