The races at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit feature:

  • A variety of formats, techniques and distances to provide a challenge for skiers of every level
  • For new recruits to rollerskiing, a short distance option
  • A cumulative points system, with an overall series winner in each category

Unless stated otherwise, all FIS conforming roller skis are accepted, ie fast skis may be used

The races generally coincide with one-day courses and course participants are encouraged to race as well.

The 4 hour event

This annual event combines 4 hour and 42 km races with a non-competitive 4 hour challenge, the latter is for those who simply want a long training session before the winter.  It's a great opportunity for Club members to meet up and have a fun workout.

For those not testing their competitive racing skills, you can stop as often and for as long as you wish - you don't have to ski continuously for four hours.  This approach gives every level of skier the chance to have a good long ski, whether it's 5 or 50 km.
