Roller ski training and practice sessions 2017

Following the success of our snow training group we’re expanding our programme and running year round training and practice sessions for Club members at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit.

This means that you'll have a regular opportunity to roller ski and build your fitness at no extra charge*.

You can either:

  • participate in an instructor-led training session and get tips on improving your skiing [see session times below]

or

  • train/practice on your own while we have the circuit booked, there’s no obligation to ski with a group.

At each training session we aim to have two Club instructors, one leading a group for novices and the other one for more advanced skiers [this replaces the previous snow training group].

As part of our training programme we'll encourage you to take part in roller ski races, both our London races, which are open to all, and our members-only fun classic handicap races.  These are an excellent way of training for snow races like the Worldloppet and Euroloppet series.

*Occasionally we’ll invite guest instructors to deliver specific advanced sessions when there will be a small charge.

Let us know you're coming!

It really does help our instructors if you confirm in advance that you're coming - please join LRNSC's meet up group and let us know when you're coming along.

Looking for more focused tuition either to get started or take your skiing to the next level?

Check out our taster, beginner [Level 1] and novices [Level 2] courses, or consider those run occasionally by Snowsport England.  Our course costs are reasonable and, except for taster sessions, include Club membership.
If you’ve learnt to cross country ski on snow, roller skiing is the ideal way to maintain your new found skills ready for your next holiday.  It’s best to go on a course to find out how to adapt your skills.

Already been on one of our courses?

If you’ve been on one of our roller ski courses, you’ll want to practice your technique and build your time on skis so these sessions enable you to do that.

Training and practice session Dates

NB If you wish to train/practice on your own, the circuit and club house will be availabe on the morning dates from 0945-1230 and afternoon dates from 1300-1600.
