Alistair Westell kicked off this challenge in Nepal where he trekked the Makalu to Everest section of The Great Himalaya Trail [amazingly there were two other roller skiers in the party].  Allegedly this is the toughest trek there is before you start getting into serious climbing!

Alistair's set the bar pretty high in terms of distance and altitude but don't let that put you off ... just get creative with your badge and camera whether you're roller ski-ing at Hayes, ski touring the Hardangervidda or racing the Kangaroo Hoppet.
