Beginners - learn to roller ski course - book now

You'll learn the basics focusing on balance and co-ordination - how to glide using classic technique [diagonal stride] and double poling, uphill and downhill techniques, simple turns and how to stop, plus you'll learn about equipment. We'll also introduce you to skating technique.

We teach classic technique on the first three sessions of the course then introduce skating in sessions four and five. Classic technique is the most common form of cross country skiing.  If you go to a cross country skiing area you’ll always find classic tracks but not always tracks prepared for skating technique.

Your goal will be Snowsport England [SSE] 1 star proficiency - you should easily achieve this on this course and be on your way to the next level.  If you register for Snowsport England Proficiency Awards [cost: £5.00] you can also be assessed for this scheme at the end of the course - ask your instructor for details.

You need to be a LRNSC member - please join here before booking a place on a course.
