From Monday 5th until Saturday 10th December, we are holding an early-season on-snow skills refresher week in Seefeld, Austria. This trip is aimed at anyone who wants to prepare for skiing this coming season at any level. It will also be helpful if you’re intending to participate in the Masters World Championships (WMC), which will take place in Seefeld in March 2023.
NB Seefeld's cross country ski season opens on 12 November.
Who is the trip for?
This trip is for anyone, of any age, who wishes to refresh and hone their on-snow skiing skills at the start of the season. It will be suitable for any level of skier including those who are confident to ski on parts of the World Cup tracks in Seefeld.
You must be a member of LRNSC or BMCCSA for insurance purposes. You can join LRNSC here.
What’s on offer?
The trip will be led by Snowsport England Level 3 coach/Tutor Adam Pinney, and its main aim is to give you the chance to practice and revive your skills. Coaching will be available on an ad-hoc basis, but most time will be spent on the tracks, practising skills that participants want to refresh/develop including down-hilling, hill climbing and cornering. Each session (two per day) will have a theme, but this will not be a ‘coached course’ in the normal sense; if there’s something you want to work on, we will work on it!
Cost will be £10 per session led by Adam, payable on site. You may take part in as many or as few sessions as you want.
What to do next?
You are responsible for organising your own travel to Seefeld, and booking accommodation. Some people will be travelling by car from the UK so we will be offering car-sharing but, if you prefer to fly, there’s easy transfer from Innsbruck or Munich. Airbnb places will be used by some of the group, or you can choose a hotel but, if you’d like to be with other people in the group, you can tell us on the booking form.
