About London Region Nordic Ski Club
Club skiers in Lapland [T Paul]Our aims
- To encourage participation in cross country skiing at all levels and in all locations
- To disseminate information about our sport
- To provide opportunities for training and participation in every aspect of our sport.
Who does what?
Club members elect a chairperson and committee annually to run the Club on their behalf. All are volunteers. The chairperson can be elected to hold that office for up to 3 years.
You can see who's on the current committee on the Who's who page.
How is the Club run?
An AGM is held annually, usually in June/July, for which members must be given at least 2 months notice. On the agenda are approval of the previous AGM minutes, annual report and accounts, plus motions submitted by the committee and members, and election of committee members.
Committee meetings are held around every 2-3 months to agree and plan the Club's activities. You read see the Club constitution here.
Snowsport England affiliated
LRNSC is a member of Snowsport England [SSE], the governing body for English snowsports. This means that our activities are fully insured, as are our instructors who are also CRB checked.
A LRNSC representative sits on SSE's Nordic Key Committee so we have the opportunity to influence SSE activities.
